THEN WHO CAN BE SAVED?

THEN WHO CAN BE SAVED?  DO NOT FALL IN FALSE HOPE

Pope Francis I, during the month of May,  the month dedicated to honor Mary, our heavenly Mother, consecrated his Pontificate to OUR LADY OF FATIMA. May we read the Holy Father in his own words:

“Our Lady of Fatima, intercede for the Church in this troubled hour when the unclean waves of an open immorality, which has even lost the sense of sin, exalt the filthiness of the flesh in the face of the very Cross of Your Son, threatening not only to choke in this world the lily of virtue nourished by the Eucharistic Blood of Jesus, but even to sully, if it were possible, His spotless Bride, the Church.  Virgin most Powerful, pray for us!

Our Lady of Fatima, intercede for our troubled world in this hour of passions and errors, when the defenseless are despised and killed, when even the good run the risk of being lost.  Use the present pontificate to unite all men around Your Son in His one universal Church, in the cultivation of virtue; with respect for human life and with fraternal charity everywhere.  Queen of Peace,  pray for us!

Only 2 paragraphs are quoted to show the Pope’s views of the world of this present age.  OUR BISHOPS TEACH US A VERY DIFFERENT WORLD.  They teach the child is born good, God does not castigate, sin is only saying NO to God, and finally everybody is saved  because God is good.

1)-THE APOSTLES ASKED JESUS “THEN WHO CAN BE SAVED?”  LISTENING TO JESUS THE APOSTLES LOSE HOPE.

Listening to Jesus revealing how difficult it is to enter heaven, the apostles somewhat rebuke Jesus  for giving them such a dark picture of  salvation.

The search for the unknown beyond the tomb  is the greatest quest in one’s life.  Nobody is indifferent when faced with death.  Many are atheist during their life, but mostly all become believers on their deathbed!

2)-DEATH IS GOD KNOCKING AT THE DOOR.

What is so interesting about God knocking at my door?  Death is an event unique in one’s life. As saint Paul says we die only once.

May we read saint Paul in Hebrews 9:27:

“Just as it is appointed that human beings die once, and after this the judgment, …”

3)-ONE OF THE GREAT LIES THE DEVIL SUCCEEDS TO HAVE PRIESTS AND BISHOPS TEACH US WE ARE OUR OWN JUDGE NOT GOD.

Bishop and priests preach not to worry about death and the judgment!  All catholic pulpits preach each one is his or her own judge. God is love, God does not castigate, everyone is saved!  It seems so many priests are afraid of death and the final judgment for a valid and good reason!  All of them never taught a class of catechism to their people during their priestly life. They chose to be mercenaries on earth!

4)-I MUST PREPARE MY DEATH AND THE JUDGMENT.

There is a false notion that each person is its own judge!  Divine Revelation has it that God is our judge.  First of all in the Creed we profess!      In our profession of faith, we pray:

“We believe in God, the Father Almighty,… we believe in Jesus Christ … who will come in glory  TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD and his reign will have no end.”

Divine Revelation attests to the fact that we are not our own judge. Beginning with Adam and Eve in Paradise, God is their judge as we read in Genesis 2:16-17.

From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you surely will die.”

Our first parents did not choose to die.  For disobeying God’s mandate, God judged them and  punished with death.  And so it is with the judgment of the nations in Matthew 25.  God judges and God sentences all the guilty to hell.  May we read Mt 25:41:

Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you accursed into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

5)-GOD ALSO REWARD ALL THOSE FOUND WORTHY OF GOD’S LOVE.

The greatest fulfillment of one’s life is to hear from God’s mouth proclaiming the final happiness with the saints in the kingdom of God.  May we read in Mt 25:34:

“Then the king  will say to those on his right, Come you who are blessed  by my Father, Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

And so the judgment of the nations ends with the final conclusion of creation.  May we read in verse 46:

“And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

So God makes a difference between the cursed and the righteous.  In Matthew 25, not a single person chose hell; moreover,  they all argued against going to hell.  However, God told them to go!  Thus, God wants us to choose where to spend our eternity with Him in His Glory or  to spend our eternity with satan in the torments of hell.

6)-GOOD REASONING SHOWS LIFE IS WORTH LIVING AS A SAINT.

For the sake of good reasoning, why someone would choose to reject God who is so good to each one of us?  Life is the greatest gift one may receive.  Good parents are God’s blessing to the child! They are the first and God-given teachers of their children.  God showers on each one of us the abundance of His Love.  However, Jesus reveals to us the final fact of each one’s life; the majority of us are going to hell.  The very few will make it the Eternal Happiness with Jesus.

7)-JESUS REVEALS THE MAJORITY OF MEN AND WOMEN WILL BE DAMNED. (Mt 7:13)

May we read Jesus’ own words:

The Narrow and Wide Gates

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, AND MANY enter through it.  But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only A FEW find it.

There is an anomaly in our human reasoning.  Our life is so short on earth! For so few years, why do we choose to live in revelries with the devils, instead of living in holiness with the saints?

8)-THERE ARE 2 CAUSES HELPING TO DETERMINE OUR FINAL JUDGMENT.

We may help ourselves studying the elements determining our final judgment.

The first cause to be studied is our situation at birth.  Born with the original sin and its devastating concupiscence, it seems we are at a loss before we start in life.  The original sin is forgiven in baptism which renews us in God’s Life.  However, baptism does not restore us in our original justice.  We are still sharers in Adam’s downfall.

Jesus comes to redeem each one of us individually.  Jesus does not restore our fallen human nature to its original justice.  We already studied the dreadful consequences of Adam’s disobedience in Romans 7:15-24.  Please go back to the previous blog for an indebt study!

The second cause is to study 2 facts.  The first fact is our desire to know God in his Divine Revelation, and my personal salvation.  The other fact consists  to be indifferent to God and my personal salvation.

9)-IT IS NOT REASONABLE TO EMBARK ON A JOURNEY WITHOUT STUDYING THE PERILS AND THE BONUSES.

It is not reasonable to embark on a journey without first studying it. Each one of us is responsible for his or her quest.  The pursuit for happiness is innate in each human being.   Each one needs happiness; however such need may inadequately be fulfilled in a false happiness or adequately fulfilled in the real happiness.

10)-THE SIGN FOR THOSE WHO FEEL NO NEEDS TO KNOW GOD.  WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT GOD IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEM.

In the Acts of the Apostles, we find a very interesting revelation concerning the indifference for Jesus’ teachings, or taking a stand against Divine Revelation.

May we read in Acts 13:46:

“It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first, but since you reject it and condemn yourselves as unworthy of eternal life…”

There is no doubt that indifference  for the Word of God is a sign of one’s self unworthy of eternal salvation.

11)-JESUS HIMSELF WARNS US TO LOOK AT THE SIGNS.

Saint John in his first letter clarifies for us an unmistakable sign pointing to rejecting God’s salvation.

May we read saint John in his own words in 1 John 1:6:

“Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you:  God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.   If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness,  we lie and do not live out the truth.”

In this Revelation of saint John, we find the ultimate gauge measuring our willingness to work our salvation.  The case in point is living in adultery while thinking ourselves in good standing with the Lord.  Stealing the neighbor, sequestering, giving false witness, assaulting,  to rob in cold blood and gay marriages, living with partners!  It seems we love our blindness to sin.

12)-A FALSE HOPE FEEDS PEOPLE ENSNARED IN THE CLAWS OF SATAN

In spite of knowing the difference between good and evil, the majority accept t olive in the claws of satan without realizing it.  The motivation which feeds this anomaly comes from A FALSE HOPE.  Such false hope may come from believing God does not castigate, everybody is saved, God does not care about his ten commandments.

In the IMITATION OF CHRIST, we read: JESUS TRANSEUNTEM NO REDEUNTEM.  En English, MIND JESUS PASSING BY AND NEVER TO RETURN.

13)-REFUSING TO BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD IS TO CHOOSE DAMNATION WITHOUT REALIZING IT.

The apostles met with a very strong resistance against the teachings of Jesus.  Witnessing the Jews’ rebellion against Jesus, they asses such attitude as refusing heaven.

May we read the apostles in Acts 13:46:

“Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you:  but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.”

To live a vice, may it be as an adulterer, a robber, a homosexual and so on, is to choose damnation without realizing it.

May Jesus our Redeemer help our bishops and priests to obey the Church  and teach our revealed origin in their diocesan catechisms.   Then the Redeemer will be better understood with his teachings.  The professor.
